If you want to skydive but you are afraid what could happen if something goes wrong, you have created your fear. If competing in a 5k race is a goal, but you’re afraid you won’t complete the race, then you have defeated yourself by creating your own fear. If losing 20 lbs. is your goal, but you are afraid of the sacrifices it will take to do it, then you have let fear defeat you before you even started. Why let self created fear keep us from doing what we want?
