Asked when and where she became less active, this was the reply I received from one of my clients. I told her it would be the basis for a story.
During OUR childhood, it wasn’t really considered appropriate or lady-like to be mixed up in all that crazy ACTIVE boy stuff. (Actually, Miss Kitty, in the long-running show GunSmoke, was not quite the normal lady. She rode horses, shot guns, AND sometimes broke up bar fights if Marshal Dillon was not around! Research it if you don’t remember.)
“Like a girl” just happens to be one of my FAVORITE Super Bowl adds EVER! Always starts their advertisement by asking a few young men, women, girls and boys what it means to “run like a girl,” “fight like a girl,” and/or “throw like a girl” with predictable results. (“Like a girl” was an insult!) !” One young man, realizing he had sort of insulted his sister along with all other girls, was embarrassed! “NO! I did not mean to insult my sister!” (Sounds like he really respected her)
Then they asked some young “ladies” the same question, with TOTALLY DIFFERENT RESULTS…The last little girl, with perfect hair, clothing and aplomb, said “run like a girl” means “RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN…
LIKE A GIRL means doing it better, doing it stronger, and winning it ALL!
LIKE A GIRL means doing AMAZING THINGS!
Always SAYS: CHANGE THE RULES…! BE A GIRL! BE YOUR BEST!
