Gyms are like churches in the south; there is one on every corner. You can't drive a mile without passing one. And when looking for a new gym to join it can be a little, well, overwhelming. We all have certain things we are looking for in a gym. Some people pay more attention to classes offered, others to the type of equipment it contains, and still others to personal training offered. Everyone has a different idea for what suits them.
Do the employees at the gym greet you with smiles and hellos? Members do like some interaction and attention. They like a sense of warmness so to speak. They want to feel comfortable enough to approach someone if they have a question or need help with a spot. They deserve a staff that takes the time to talk to them and see if they may have any questions. Baer Fit is like this to a T. I, myself have come to know so many people there. Bottom line is individuals who are in this industry should want to talk to you. We are personable people because, well we work with people. Not to say some of us will never come into contact with the opposite type. They just may be in the wrong line of work.
So if you are in the market for a gym membership pay close attention to the atmosphere. Make sure you get a tour and maybe a free pass for a few weeks to get a feel for it. The gym should be a place you can go and feel "comfortable". I myself work at three different gyms and Baer fit is hands down the top of the line when it comes to atmosphere and staff. And I know many that would agree with me 100%.
